SUN TO HOST TIP-OFF BRUNCH

Bill Harper Sun fans will be able to meet head coach Mike Thibault and several members of the team at the annual Tip-Off Brunch on May 6. UNCASVILLE – The Connecticut Sun will officially welcome fans back for the 2012 season by hosting their annual Tip-Off Brunch on Sunday, May 6 at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center. Registration begins at 11 a.m. During the brunch (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.) fans will be able to meet the members of the 2012 Connecticut Sun. In addition, Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko and head coach Mike Thibault will share their plans and goals for the upcoming season. All attendees will be invited to share their memories of the team for possible use in commercials and arena promotions. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Connecticut Sun Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of Connecticut’s youth by supporting athletic and educational endeavors. The Connecticut Sun will kick off their 10th season in the Nutmeg State with back-to-back games against their Eastern Division rivals, the New York Liberty. On Sat., May 19, the Sun will travel to Newark, NJ, where they will open the 2012 campaign against the Liberty at the Prudential Center. Tip-off is at 4 p.m.
