DAUNTE IS COMING TO TOWN: Former NFL star Daunte Culpepper will lead the Sacramento Mountain Lions into Rentschler Field for the Hartford Colonials' home opener on Sept. 18.
HARTFORD – The Hartford Colonials have announced their 10-week 2010 regular season television schedule and kickoff times. Returning national broadcasters Versus and HDNet, will broadcast six of the Hartford’s eight games. In addition, the New England Sports Network (NESN) will televise the other two games throughout New England. All of the Colonials’ games will also be broacast live on ESPN Radio 1400 AM, and streamed live on www.UFL-Football.com.

The Colonials will kick off the 2010 season at Rentschler Field on Sat., Sept. 18, at 2.30 p.m. against the Daunte Culpepper and Sacramento Mountain Lions. The Mountain Lions are coached by Culpepper's former coach with the Minnesota Vikings, Dennis Green. The following week, HDNet will televise the debut of the expansion Nighthawks vs. the Colonials at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha on Friday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. ET.

“We continue to make progress in bringing our games to a wider television audience through three established and innovative broadcaster partners,” said UFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue. “Versus and HDNet were pioneers in introducing our quality product to the nation’s sports fans in 2009 and we are delighted to partner with them again and to also welcome another strong broadcasting ally in NESN.”

NESN, the top rated regional sports network in the country, is available to over 4 million homes throughout the six-state region and nationally via DirecTV and Dish Network.

“We are excited for this opportunity to help showcase the UFL,” said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive vice president and executive producer. “We feel that the UFL offers us great upside and is poised to grow in the coming years.”

Versus will feature eight regular season games on Saturdays and one Thursday evening, along with the UFL Championship Game on the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 26, at 3 p.m.

HDNet, whose Chairman Mark Cuban became a UFL investor in 2010, will broadcast 10 regular season games, including the 2009 UFL Championship Game rematch between the Las Vegas Locos and Florida Tuskers at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11p.m.

“The game is fun and exciting,” said Cuban. “The talent level is off the charts, and we want to be a part of it. We believe last year was just the beginning and the best is yet to come from the UFL.”
