Ryan takes home the Pitcher of the Month award after posting a 5-0 record with a 0.94 ERA in 38.1 innings of work. The right-hander also recorded 48 strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .153 batting average.

In 21 appearances last year with the Bluefish, Ryan recorded an impressive 0.73 ERA with 25 strikeouts and four saves while limiting opposing hitters to a .204 batting average over 24.1 innings of work. Ryan joined the ’Fish after spending the majority of 2009 with West Tennessee (AA, Mariners) of the Southern League where he posted a 2-5 record with 35 strikeouts over the course of 50 innings pitched in 16 games (eight starts).

In 2008, the 26-year-old played with Huntsville (AA, Brewers) of the Southern League. In 39 games, he posted a 2.52 ERA with six saves and 38 strikeouts over 61 innings of work. “We are pleased to hear that Charlton and Pat have been named the recipients for these two awards,” says Bluefish general manager Bob Goughan. “They have been strong contributors to our success this season on the field and we are happy that they have received these accolades.”
